Thanks to VancouverFilm.Net, Sneak Peek another new poster of Kate Beckinsale in her best 'Lara Croft' pose, as a vampire who uses guns, in the upcoming Vancouver-lensed fantasy action horror feature "Underworld Awakening 3D".
"Underworld Awakening 3D" is produced by Lakeshore Entertainment.
Beckinsale reprises her role from "Underworld" and "Underworld Evolution", with new cast including Sandrine Holt, Michael Ealy and India Eisley.
"...Since the events of Underworld: Evolution, 'Selene' (Beckinsale) was captured by Humans and has since been held captive in cryogenic suspension for the past 12 years..."

Thanks to VancouverFilm.Net, Sneak Peek more new images from the upcoming Screen Gems, Sony Pictures Entertainment release "Underworld Awakening 3D".


The Vancouver-lensed fourth installment in the supernatural-action franchise is produced by Lakeshore Entertainment and  Len Wiseman.


The newest chapter in the "Underworld" vampires vs werewolves saga marks the return of actress Kate Beckinsale in the title role.


Beckinsale plays vampiric heroine 'Selene'.


Selene escapes imprisonment to find herself in a world where humans have discovered the existence of both the 'Vampire' and 'Lycan' clans.


The humans are conducting an all-out war to eradicate both nocturnal species.


"'Underworld' is one of Screen Gems' most important franchises," said Rory Bruer, president of Worldwide Distribution for Sony Pictures Releasing, confirming the movie's release In Real D Cinemas, IMAX 3D and 2D theatres, January 20th 2012.

Sony's Screen Gems reports that the official title of the Vancouver-lensed, fourth "Underworld" installment, from Lakeshore Entertainment, is "Underworld: Awakening", directed by Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein, starring Kate Beckinsale, India Eisley and Michael Ealy.


"Underworld: Awakening", focusing on the continuing battle between 'Vampires' and werewolf 'Lycans', is the first film in the franchise to shoot in 3D.


Beckinsale, star of the first two films, returns in the lead role as vampire warrior 'Selene', who escapes imprisonment, only to find herself in a world where humans have discovered the existence of both Vampire and Lycan clans, and are conducting an all-out war to eradicate both of the immortal species.


"Underworld: Awakening" is produced by Tom Rosenberg, Len Wiseman and executive producers David Kern, David Coatsworth, Henry Winterstern and Skip Williamson.


The previous 3 "Underworld" features, "Underworld" (2003), "Underworld: Evolution" (2006) and "Underworld: Rise of the Lycans" (2009) internationally earned a box office total of $298,376,455.
"Underworld: Awakening is scheduled for release January 20, 2012.

  A new "Transporter" TV series, based on producer/director Luc Besson's 2002 EuropaCorp feature film property "The Transporter", starts shooting in Toronto, July 4, 2011, wrapping November 21, produced by Sue Murdoch for Driver For Hire (QVS) Inc. The $48 million, 12-episode Cinemax TV series will follow driver 'Frank Martin', played by Chris Vance ("Burn Notice") who will 'transport' anything a client wishes, with no questions asked.
Actress Andrea Osvart ("The Swing Girls") will play Frank's handler 'Carla', a former CIA operative who organizes his missions. France-based Lagardere Entertainment will finance the series. EuropaCorp previously adapted their "Nikita" franchise into 2 Toronto-lensed TV series, with development currently underway on a "Taken" and "Arthur and The Invisibles" TV series, both spinning off from EuropaCorp feature films.
