Paradox Entertainment, producers of
the upcoming 3D sword 'n sorcery feature, "Conan The Barbarian", report they are developing
"Kull", another Robert E. Howard-created, 'weird fantasy' action hero, into a new motion picture of 'high adventure', set
100,000 years ago.
According to author Howard, Kull was "...king of 'Valusia' – a fading, degenerate Valusia, a Valusia mostly in dreams of bygone
glory, but still a mighty land and the greatest of the 'Seven Empires'. "In the dawn world, Kull holds his throne against scheming conspirators,
murderous rivals, and deadliest of them all, the snake-headed 'Serpent Men' who are mankind’s secret masters. He broods
over the mysteries of eternity, shatters outmoded and unjust laws, and answers his enemies’ threats with razor-edged
steel as his blood-brother 'Brule the Spear-Slayer' fights at his side..."
Over the years, Howard's original "Kull" stories have sold
worldwide, Marvel Comics created their own "Kull" comic book series/large format magazines, Blackthorne Publishing produced
3D "Kull" comic books and Dark Horse Comics launched their ongoing "Kull" graphic novel series in 2008.
