"Three Stooges" 'short presentations', the movie storyline focuses on the trio, first left as newborns outside an orphanage,
then following them into adulthood, with the full feature divided into three half-hours.
Sean Hayes, Chris Diamantopoulos and Will Sasso play 'Larry', 'Moe' and 'Curly'.
Supporting cast includes Jane Lynch, Larry David, Stephen Collins, Sofia Vergara and Jennifer Hudson.

Fox acquired The Farrelly
Bros. "Three Stooges" project from MGM. The screenplay is co-written by the brothers and Mike Cerrone.

Thomas, Charles B. Wessler and Earl Benjamin.

Actor Sean Penn has agreed (again) to play 'Larry Fine' in the upcoming
Farrelly Brothers MGM remake of "The Three Stooges". "We got him back", said co-director/writer Bobby Farrelly. "He always said he wanted to do it."
Looking at an August 2010 start date, actor Benicio Del Toro is still attached to play 'Moe Howard', with a worldwide
"American Idol"-like talent competition being organized to find the next 'Curley Howard'. "The Three Stooges" feature is written
by Peter and Bobby Farrelly, based on an original screenplay they wrote with Michael Cerrone.
The Farrellys will produce the $45 million dollar project with Conundrum partner Bradley Thomas and Charlie Wessler.
C3 Entertainment’s Earl and Robert Benjamin will executive produce.
Peter Farrelly said the new "Stooges" feature has the support of MGM
Worldwide Motion Picture Group chairman Mary Parent, who acquired rights to scripts owned by WB and made a deal with current
"Three Stooges" rights holders C3.
"It’s not a biopic," said Peter Farrelly. "It takes place in present
day, and they will look, dress and sound exactly like the original Stooges..."
